Tokyo Ueno Park, Galleries and Museums

I went to Ueno to stroll about a park and visit several museums and galleries.

I had little knowledge of the Tower of Babel before seeing the exhibition.

The tower was elaborately made and exhibited with sound and special illumination.

A half-broken mimic of the Statue of Liberty was displayed in Ueno park.
It is said that the figure was once displayed at a pachinko, or pinball game shop in Tohoku area, broken by the Great Japan Earthquake, being transferred several places, then now, is looking for another place to be displayed.

I Go to "Museum of Contemporary Sculpture"

Outdoor exhibition of the museum was far better than that of indoor one.
Sculptures go well with their surrounding urban scenery, sky and trees.

The museum is located in Meguro-ward, Tokyo, about 20 minutes walk from JR Meguro station.

It is free of charge because the museum is affiliated to a religious temple.

I Go to Crown Prince's Palace

I went to Crown Prince's Palace for the first time in my life the other day.

The Palace is very close to Tokyo railway station.

It took just ten to fifteen minutes on foot from the station to the wide garden, stone walls and its moat area.

I Go to Nikko Kirifuri Highland

My wife and I stayed in a hot spa resort, Kirifuri highland.
We wore Japanese traditional clothes, Yukata, had delicious dinner, took a walk near the forest.
Needless to say, we enjoyed hot spring while viewing stunning mountain scenery, sun set and sun rise.
