I Take Breakfast While Viewing Tateyama Mountains

Views from the hotel restaurant we stayed in Toyama city were very nice. We could see beautiful Tateyama Mountains at a breakfast table.

Following movies are collections of running trams in Toyama. I did not ride on them but they seemed to be newer body and louder approaching announces than that of in Osaka.

I Go To The Great Buddha of Takaoka

The Great Buddha of Takaoka is the third largest in Japan, reaching a height of nearly 16 meters.

The current Buddha made of Takaoka bronze was completed in 1933.

The Buddha is situated next to the Daibutsu Temple in the middle of a residential area in Takaoka town center.

I once visited there by a tram from Kanazawa station more than forty years ago.

I Go To Myojyoji Temple in Ishikawa Prefecture

Myojoji is the head temple of the Nichiren school of Buddhism in the Hokuriku region. It is located in Ishikawa prefecure.

The temple is set on sprawling, green grounds with a centerpiece five-storied pagoda completed in 1618.

The temple has ten nationally-recognized "tangible cultural property."

Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design

While traveling, it sometimes rains in June in Japan.
Visiting museums is one of the best choices in such occasions.
We went to Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design.
Taking pictures is allowed in most part of the museum.

You can see beautiful Northern Alps which stretches through Nagano, Toyama and Gifu prefectures from here, if it is a fine day.

I Drop By Gunma Prefecture on A Way Back Home

After spending more than a weeklong trip in Hokuriku area, we took a route from Fukui to Gunma via Nagano.
We stayed one night at Sarugakyo hot spa resort.
Since the village was covered with cloud, we were not able to see Mt. Tanigawa.
While taking pictures, I felt that Lake Akaya and surrounding moutains looked more exotic and beautiful, thanks to the cloud, than it would be.

The dinner was traditional Tofu kaiseki with local ingredients.

Outdoor baths were very nice in the forest.
