I Go to Inawashiro Lake

On our way to Bandai-Azuma Roadway in Fukushima prefecture, my wife and I dropped by Inawashiro Lake for a couple of hours.

I did not know whether those swans came to this lake to spend only in winter season or to stay whole seasons.
Anyway, they seemed to be gazing at the north sky aimlessly.

I View Ouchi-jyuku from the Top of a Hill

There was a hill at the end of the main street of ouchi-jyuku. On the top of the hill, there was a small temple called Seihou-ji.
I was able to see beautiful traditional thatched houses standing in line from the temple.

I Go to Ouchi-jyuku

My wife and I went to Ouchi-jyuku in the town of Shimogo in Minamiaizu District, Fukushima Prefecture.

The area is famous for the numerous traditional thatched buildings from the Edo Period that line its main street.

Many buildings have been preserved as they were before the Meiji Restoration, and the area has been designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.

All photos of today's post were taken by my wife, Kiyono using her smartphone.

Wisteria Flowers at Ashikaga Flower Park

Words could not describe the beauty of the wisteria flowers here; that was my first impression came upon to me.
The beauty, namely the color of the flowers was changing every moment at twilight.

Can you guess how many petals this wisteria tree has?
I cannot imagine any single tree that has more petals than this one.
