I Go to "Matsugamine Coffee Building"

"Matsugamine Coffee Building" is the name of the restaurant, just 15-minute walking distance from home.
My wife and I went to the restaurant with a luckily received discount coupon.
We had lunch there.
Home made cake was famous at the Café, though green curry was delicious to me.

The green curry looks like while curry soup.

My Mother Passes Away

My mother has just left her 95-year-long-her-life for Heaven in the early morning on September 15th, 2021.

I heartily pray for the happiness of her with her late husband in the next world.

My mother on her way to Heaven  welcomed her visitors on the video monitor at the entrance of the funeral.

I Have Lunch at Matsunoya Restaurant

I had lunch at a seafood restaurant called Matsunoya the other day.

It is located at just two-minute-walking-distance from home. They served delicious fresh seafood for reasonable prices.

The restaurant was also displaying beautiful traditional Japanese paintings and pottery in the shop.

I Take a Bath at Higashiyama Hot Spa Resort

The hot spa resort at Higashiyama-onsen was not crowded at all, thanks to the COVID-19.
Namely, it was my private bath when I used it.
I would never take pictures if  there was at least one other visitor except me.
I was able to be completely relaxed there.

Miraculous Marsh Born from a Eruption of Mt. Bandai

It is said that the summit of Mount Bandai on the northern side collapsed due to a steam explosion in 1888.

The subsequent rock avalanche blocked the river and this led to the formation of lakes in this area.

I Go to Goshiki-numa Lakes or Ponds

Goshiki-numa, literally five-color-pond in Japanese includes Bishamonnuma, Akanuma, Midoronuma, Tatsunuma, Bentennuma, Rurinuma, Aonuma and Yanaginuma.

Those are called "mysterious lakes."
The colors ranging from emerald green, cobalt blue, turquoise blue, emerald blue to  pastel blue differ depending on the ponds.

Factors such as weather, season, angle of view, volcanic substances contained in the water, and so forth can affect the colors that you see.
So, it is said to be better to visit again at different times of the year.

All photos of today's post were taken by my wife, Kiyono using her smartphone.

I Drive on Bandai-Azuma Roadway

I drove on Bandai-Azuma Roadway.
The Bandai-Azuma Roadway was selected by the Japanese Ministry of Construction as one of the top 100 roads in Japan.
Due to heavy snowfall in the winter, the road is closed from mid-November until early April.
We enjoyed beautiful scenery along the road.
