Season of Cherry Blossoms

My daughter Emi has had a son this spring, namely he is my grandson.  We went to a shopping mall to buy clothes for him, then went to a nearby park to watch cherry blossoms.

My daughter Rina graduated from her college a month ago. I went to her college to take pictures of her on the day of her graduation ceremony or the commencement day. 

I enjoyed seeing blizzard of falling cherry blossoms at Futarasan shrine the other day.

I Go to Nikko

 

Nikko is famous for shrines and temples in the area. But, there are also beautiful hiking trails, streams, rivers and forest near the historical monuments.

You can enjoy paying visits to those sightseeing spots and just walking along the mountain trails.

The walls of the museum were painted beautifully and illuminated in the evening.

I Go To 'Trick Art Museum' in Nasu

The ’Trick Art Museum' is a kind of an amusement park. You can enjoy walking around here and there, looking paintings, finding out tricks and taking pictures.

I Go to Yunishigawa Dam

I went to Yunishigawa dam and joined a sightseeing tour riding on an amphibious vehicle. 

You cannot call the vehicle car nor ship. It was able to run both on a road and on a lake.

The vehicle had a front window but no side windows for passengers. 

So, it was very cold. We were showered with lake water when going from road to to lake surface.  

Collections of Hotel Ageha

 

The collections of the hotel was so nice that there must be many repeating visitors. I felt as if I were staying in a museum.

This Is Not A Museum, It Is A Hotel

I stayed at a hotel in Yunishigawa Onsen. The name of the hotel is Ageha. 

They had lots of craft works displayed in their hotel entrance, visitors’ rooms, lobby, corridors and even spa area.

Dinner and breakfast were rather simple, though the hotel should be highly recommended for tourists from foreign countries.

They are surely able to enjoy traditional Japanese culture and their stay.
