Mangroves are salt-tolerant trees and are adapted to live in coastal conditions.
It is said that they contain a complex salt filtration system and a complex root system to cope with saltwater immersion.
You can see lots of them at Shimajiri Mangrove Forest Park in southen part of Miyakojima island.
The park looked very similar to Everglades National Park where we had once visited in the States.
