I Went To Kurayoshi City In Tottori

I went to Kurayoshi Utsubuki-Tamagawa Historic Preservation District. Kurayoshi is a city located in the central part of Tottori Prefecture.

Kurayoshi City is a castle town and is famous for its white-walled group of warehouses or "Shirakabe Dozogun."

I also went to Kotozakura Memorial Museum in Kurayoshi.

Kotozakura was the 53rd Yokozuna Sumo-Wrestler.

I Go To Ogamiyama Shrine at Mt. Daisen

Ogamiyama Shrine was created to worship Mt. Daisen. Daisen has been worshiped as a holy mountain since the 8th century. 

The shrine was constructed 998 metres above sea level on a peak 1,725 metres in height Daisen. 

The shrine was undergoing renovation when we visited.

I Leave Conan Station and Get To Sakai Minato

I went to the Mizuki Shigeru Road in Sakaiminato city.

One hundred fine bronze statues of various Yokais are placed alongside the road.

Anyone can see and touch the statues for free.

The Kitarou Train runs on the JR Sakai Line between Yonago and Sakaiminato Stations in Tottori Prefecture.

I Go To Conan Station

The town of Hokuei is called the town of Conan and also the station of Yura is called Conan station.

I went to the town of Conan last month. 

You can find lots of statues and paintings of Conan here and there around the town.

I Go To Shoji Ueda Museum of Photography in Tottori

The Shoji Ueda Museum of Photography is solely dedicated to exhibiting and archiving the work of the photographer Shoji Ueda.

Ueda was born on 27 March 1913 in Sakaiminato, Tottori.

The collection of the museum consists of over 12,000 works by Ueda.

This was my first visit to the museum.

I Land on Yonago Kitaro Airport

I landed on Yonago Kitaro airport. The airport is famous for the Japanese anime 'GeGeGe no Kitaro.' The author of the anime was born in Osaka and raised in the city of Sakaiminato, Tottori prefecture.

I rent a car at the airport, drove the car heading for Matsue city where my family lived.

I met my brother for the first time snice one year ago.　I ate sushi for dinner with him, my sister-in-law and my wife in Matsue city.

Then, I jumped on the car, drove to Izumo city and stayed in a hotel.

This is breakfast at the hotel in Izumo city.

I Head For Yonago Kitarou Airport at Tottori Prefectures

We went to Shimane and Tottori prefectures last week, enjoyed a four-night and five-day short trip there.

We also met my brothers and a sister-in-law there.

We held the first anniversary of my late mother.
