Wakulla Springs Jungle Cruise Boat Tour

Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, located south of Tallahassee, Florida, is one of the world's largest and deepest freshwater springs.

It is characterized by its crystal-clear waters, and visitors can enjoy observing wildlife such as manatees, alligators, and turtles on boat tours.

Bubbles Manatees Were Exhaling

Unfortunately, on the tour we took, the manatees were at the bottom of the lake, and all I could see were the air bubbles they were exhaling.

We Go To Wakulla Springs Trail

Barred Owl

They inhabit forests and hunt in surrounding open areas.
They are nocturnal, resting in trees during the day.
Their diet is carnivorous, preying on small mammals, birds, frogs, crabs, and insects.
They primarily ambush their prey from branches, pouncing and catching them when they spot them.

The Wakulla Springs Trail starts near the historic lodge at Wakulla Springs State Park.
The trail leads into floodplains and upland forests near one of the largest springs in the world.
