I Come Back To Paris

 

Due to the Olympics, there was heavy traffic in central Paris, so I returned the rental car at Paris-Orly Airport, about 20km south of the city center.

Afterwards we took the metro to our hotel where we had reservations and had pizza at a nearby restaurant.

Metro in Rome

Subway systems are different in every city.
People can ride on them with dogs; there are graffiti on train bodies; there are only two major limes and shorter branch lines in Rome.

What, do you think, is the most big difference between those in Rome and other city's ones?

There are many pickpockets there. They act in groups. My wife and I met them twice at the hub station of two major metro lines.
Their thief techniques were splendid and far beyond our imagination.

I was robbed of about 100 Euro out of my wallet in my waist-bag. To be exact, the female thief took only big notes and left a five Euro bill for train tickets for two of us so as to come back to our hotel without any difficulty.

Please be careful for pickpockets when you are in Rome.
They lead you to an elevator. Once you get in the lift, all persons standing around you are members of the same robber group.

I Spend My Holidays in Rome

 I have been in Rome since 5 days ago.

The city is itself a big biiiiiiiig museum, I think.

There are lots of sightseeing spots scattered all over the city.

One week travel is too short to fully enjoy seeing this city.

Transportation in U.A.E. #1 Subway / Metro

Subway, taxi, public bus, tourists' bus, boat and ship are ways of transportation systems in Dubai city.

Among them, I guess, subway is the easiest way of moving between east and west. When you go north or south, you have to take a taxi.

Every subway train has a car or area only for women and children.

The rule is strictly kept by showing signs, fines table posting stations, metro staff inspections and citizens' moral.

We happened to saw a guy who entered the restricted car was arrested by a metro officer and he was pulled out of the car at the next station.

Some Japanese train company has the same rules, though the rules are far lenient than that of U.A.E.

I Take a Walk in the Morning

I took a walk about here and there in the morning.

There were people,
who bought doughnuts and had a quick bite,
who were walking swiftly with newspaper in their hand,
who were aimlessly gathering and chatting.

I think that subway was far less crowded than that in Tokyo at least in the morning.

I Hop on a N.Y.C. Subway Train

Penn Station 34th Street is the nearest subway station to our hotel.

New York City's subway system was as clean and safe as that in Tokyo and well developed.

After being accustomed to pay and to change trains, it was very convenient to move around Manhattan area.

I rode a subway train once in the States exactly one decade ago in downtown Los Angeles with my daughters and wife. Time really flies.
