International Rose Test Garden No.1

The International Rose Test Garden is located in Washington Park in Portland, Oregon.

There are over 10,000 rose bushes of approximately 650 varieties. 

The roses bloom from April through October with the peak coming in June

Union Station In Portland

Portland Union Station was constructed in 1896 and has been in continuous operation since that time. 

The centerpiece of the Romanesque and Queen Anne architecture is the 150-foot clock tower with its four-sided Seth Thomas clock that makes this landmark easily distinguishable. 

The station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The signs read "Go by Train" on the northeast and southwest sides and "Union Station" on the northwest and southeast sides.

The Oregon Trail

The Oregon Trail was a 3,490 km east–west, large-wheeled wagon route and emigrant trail in North America that connected the Missouri River to valleys in Oregon Territory. 

The eastern part of the Oregon Trail crossed what is now the states of Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming. 

The western half crossed the current states of Idaho and Oregon.
