International Rose Test Garden No.2

New rose cultivars are continually sent new roses to the garden from many parts of the world. Those new roses are evaluated on several characteristics, including disease resistance, bloom formation, color, and fragrance.

It is the oldest continuously operating public rose test garden in the United States and exemplifies Portland's nickname, "City of Roses".

FREE Guided Tours are available from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, daily at 1:00 pm.

The four of us—my wife, my daughter, my son-in-law, and I—enjoyed lunch there.

International Rose Test Garden No.1

The International Rose Test Garden is located in Washington Park in Portland, Oregon.

There are over 10,000 rose bushes of approximately 650 varieties. 

The roses bloom from April through October with the peak coming in June

I Go to Ashikaga Flower Park

Ashikaga Flower Park is famous for its beautiful wisteria flowers in this season.

But, there are lots of other beautiful flowers blooming in the park now.

There are so many flowers that some of small ones, I even don't know their name, are being ignored by the visitors, shadowed behind other spotlighted big branch of flowers.
