I Go To Shimabara City in Nagasaki Prefecture

We went to Shimabara city.

Shimabara city is located on the north-eastern tip of the Shimabara Peninsula, facing Ariake Bay in the east and Mount Unzen in the west.

The popular tourist destination within the area is Shimabara Castle and the nearby "Samurai Residence."

Samurai residence is located on the west side of the Shimabara castle.

The area was a residence town where the lower-class samurai used to live.

That Ashigaru and gun craftsmen used to live here.

I Go to Utsunomiya Castle Park

I went to Utsunomiya Castle Park to see full-bloomed cherry blossoms, kawazu-zakura even in the heavy rain the other day.

Few people were walking about the park and only one bird was on the branch.

No wonder, I could not play tennis at all on the day.

I Go to Utsunomiya Castle Park

I took a walk to Utsunomiya castle park today. Since it was sow yesterday, the park had lots of family visitors who wanted to enjoy its covered snow.

The moat of the castle was covered with thick ice plate because of yesterday's freezing cold temperature.

On the other hand, plum trees near the park had full of beautiful flowers.

Cherry trees at Utsunomiya Castle Park are full-bloomed recent days.
I walked about the park and enjoyed seeing beautiful scenery yesterday.
It's a calm sunny day perfectly fit for a short walking.

I Go to the Flower Blooming Castle Park

I went to Utsunomiya Castle Park and Utsunomiya Central Park to see flowers.
Contrary to today's rainy bad weather, it was a warm sunny day yesterday. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom.

It Snows on the Weekend

We had a heavy snowfall in Utsunomiya yesterday.

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued heavy snowfall warnings for Kanto area including Tochigi, Tokyo and other prefectures on Saturday.

It said that it was the first time that heavy snow warnings were issued for Tokyo in 13 years.

Almost all flights to and from Haneda Airport were canceled and trains were partially disrupted on Saturday.





Contrary to the bad weather yesterday, it's a warm sunny day today.

I took a walk to Utsunomiya Castle Park to take some pictures.
