I Cross a Suspension Bridge over Kinu River

There is a long suspension bridge, 140-meter long, at Kinugawa Onsen area.
The view of the river from the bridge was splendid.

Walking passed the bridge and climbing up Tateiwa mountain, you can enjoy the view of the bridge and surrounding scenery.

Monuments and a Wild Bird at Kinugawa Onsen Resort

Kinugawa Hot Spa Resort is located at upstream of Kinu river or Kinugawa river, literally "angry demon river."

I guess that is the reason the village people placed demon statues at different area around the resort for a tourist’s attraction.

The figure is named Kinuta and is loved as a charm of a matchmaking and an easy delivery of a baby.

I Go to Kinugawa Onsen Hot Spa Resort

My wife and I went to Kinugawa Onsen hot spa resort the other day.

The local government, Tochigi Prefecture has decided to subsidize citizens to travel within Tochigi prefecture by giving every citizen five thousands yen or three thousands yen for one night hotel stay.

The subsidy was aiming at helping traveling businesses which were in the severe recession hit by covid-19 to recover ASAP.

We used the subsidy and went to the resort this time.

All photos of today's post were taken by my wife, Kiyono using her smartphone.

Cactus Flower Is Blooming

Only two nights and three days, that is the period of the cactus flower lasted.

It was so beautiful and temporary that we could not waste any time for seeing it.

I cannot guess when next new flower will bloom, one year later, two years, five years, nobody knows.

Cactus Flower Is Growing

We have been taking care of cactus for more than ten years, though they had flowers only twice about six or seven years ago.

Finally, the flower came to my home cactus last week.

A bud grew bigger and bigger every day, taking almost a whole week to be a pale pink colored long shaped bud.

All photos of today's post were taken by my wife, Kiyono using her smartphone.

Hydrangea Flowers in the Rain

We are still in the rainy season here in Utsunomiya.
My schedules of playing tennis are apt to be cancelled recently. It is not the exception today.
Hydrangea flowers in Utsunomiya Central Park are blooming beautifully these days.
On occasion, forgetting about playing tennis, taking pictures of flowers can refresh my mind.

I Take Pictures on a Rainy Day

This is the way I take pictures.

It is hard to take photos holding both my camera and an umbrella.

All photos of today's post were taken by my wife, Kiyono using her smartphone.

I Go to Utsunomiya Central Park in the Rain

The baby snail on wet leaves goes well on a rainy day.

The frog and the carp in the water do not care about the rain, of course.

I Go to Tochigi Prefectural Museum

June 15th is  "The Day of Tochigi Prefecture."
To cerebrate the day, many local museums and art galleries are admission free on the day, on one day before the day and on two days before the day.
My wife and I went to Tochigi Prefectural Museum today for free.

Iris Flowers at Tochigi Sports Park

I play tennis at Tochigi Sports Park usually once or two times in a week.

The park has sixteen tennis courts, taking me about a thirty-minute bike ride from home to the place.

The park also has flower gardens in addition to baseball fields, gymnasiums, athletic fields and else.

Iris flowers were at their best now.
