I Come Back to My Hometown, Matsue City

A camellia flower is blooming in a backyard of my mother's house

I arrived at a riverside bus stop in my hometown Matsue city in the early morning today.

It was an looooong overnight bus trip.

It took about eleven hours from a Tokyo bus terminal to the city.

It was raining and sometimes snowing today here in Matsue city.
But, my family members warmly welcomed me as always they had done so.

I Go to Koubun-kan Museum in Ibaraki Prefecture

I went to Koubun-kan museum with my wife on a warm sunny day a couple weeks ago.
Plum trees were in full bloom.
I don't know the name of it but the bird were busily sucking nectar from a branch to a branch, from a flower to a flower.

FYI: After posting this article, I was informed that the name of the bird was bulbul.

Girls Wearing Kimono in Kawagoe City

It is said that visitors who wear kimono or traditional Japanese clothes were eligible to get special discount at every food shop or souvenir shop in Kawagoe.

Otherwise, people rarely wear kimono except for days of special occasions, such as new years' holidays, wedding or graduation ceremonies.

Atami Plum Tree Garden, Years Back to 2002

There was a waterfall inside the Atami plum tree garden.
Actually, it was the third time we visited the garden.
When I saw the waterfall, suddenly it reminded me of my memory of 17 years ago.
My two daughters, wife and I went to the garden in the season of no plum tree blossoms, December 27, 2002.

I Go to Atami Plum Tree Garden

It was raining when my wife and I went to Atami Plum Tree Garden.

Plum flowers were in their full bloom.

There were many cute birds called Japanese white-eye; they were flying, singing, having and sucking nectar from flowers.
