I Go To Oura Church in Nagasaki

'The Basilica of the Twenty-Six Holy Martyrs of Japan' is the official name of Oura church. It was designated as a National Treasure in 1933.
We went to the church while we were staying in Nagasaki.

It is also called the Church of the 26 Japanese Martyrs.
For many years it was the only Western-style building and is said to be the oldest Christian church in Japan.

I Go To Shimabara City in Nagasaki Prefecture

We went to Shimabara city.

Shimabara city is located on the north-eastern tip of the Shimabara Peninsula, facing Ariake Bay in the east and Mount Unzen in the west.

The popular tourist destination within the area is Shimabara Castle and the nearby "Samurai Residence."

Samurai residence is located on the west side of the Shimabara castle.
The area was a residence town where the lower-class samurai used to live.
That Ashigaru and gun craftsmen used to live here.
