We Stay at a Hotel in Kinugawa-Onsen Hot Spa Resort

We stayed at “Hotel Mikazuki” which was one of the famous middle-class chain-hotels in Japan.

View from the room was quite good. It was changing every hour, from clear sky to cloudy sky then misty surroundings.

Forest Bathing in Kinugawa-Onsen Resort

Walking through the woods gave us not only joy but also health benefits as well.

There were beautiful waterfalls and a small pond in the area we walked.

I Go to a Little Museum Near Kinugawa Park Station

Nakatsukeno-Hatago is the name of the little museum.

It is said that the museum had been built as a hotel in different place, called fujiwara-shuku, in 1868 and was transferred to kinugawa park in 1981, then renovated as a museum.

It was hard to know that it was a museum by seeing the building from outside.
It seemed like just a warehouse or something.

While we were staying there, no other tourists came in the museum, no staff were working there.
No wonder it was admission free.

I Cross a Suspension Bridge over Kinu River

There is a long suspension bridge, 140-meter long, at Kinugawa Onsen area.
The view of the river from the bridge was splendid.

Walking passed the bridge and climbing up Tateiwa mountain, you can enjoy the view of the bridge and surrounding scenery.

Monuments and a Wild Bird at Kinugawa Onsen Resort

Kinugawa Hot Spa Resort is located at upstream of Kinu river or Kinugawa river, literally "angry demon river."

I guess that is the reason the village people placed demon statues at different area around the resort for a tourist’s attraction.

The figure is named Kinuta and is loved as a charm of a matchmaking and an easy delivery of a baby.
