Tochigi City in the Middle of Rainy Season II

It was raining whole day long during the day of Tochigi Prefecture, on June 15th.

The city has kept old buildings, streets, bus services and museums.

Those old fashioned styles went well with new city buildings, such as a Starbucks Coffee and a Cainz Shopping Mall.

Wild Flowers Blooming Beside a Brook

On my way to tennis courts last Sunday, I found beautiful flowers blooming near a small brook.

After playing tennis, on my way back home, I parked my car near the brook,  trimmed some of them, brought them back home and decorated my living room with them.

The living room turned brighter with the flowers.

But,,,,,,, I do not know the name of the flower. Do you know the name of the flower?

I Go to Tochigi City in the Middle of Rainy Season

June 15th is  "The Day of Tochigi Prefecture."
To cerebrate the day, many local museums and art galleries are admission free on the day.

Even local train company offered us a one-day free ticket.

I got a free train ticket, then jumped in a train that was supposed to go for Tochigi city.
About a 40-minute train ride brought me to a wonderful historical old town.
I walked around the old town alone with my camera and an umbrella.

I Become a Runner-up in a Tennis Tournament

I took part in a tennis tournament that was held in Mohka city with my friend today. We chose a senior level doubles category.
We became a runner-up at the tournament. The left in the upper picture was my doubles partner.
The man wearing red shirt in the picture bellow was my former tennis coach.
We happened to meet at the tennis court.
I had a talking with him for several minutes about my recent retirement, his children and so on in the court after the tournament.
My former coach is still working as a tennis coach.
The boy in the middle in the picture bellow is his tennis student.

I Go to Tsukuba Botanical Garden #2

Since I live in a high-rise condominium, the number of flowers and plants, I can keep at home, is limited.
So, visiting botanical gardens is always great fun for me.
Most of national botanical gardens are admission free on May 4th, national holiday, Greenery Day.
The day is the best choice to visit botanical gardens.
