I Go to "Four Seasons Bamboo Forest"

We went to "Four Seasons Bamboo Forest" or "Wakayama Farm."

Wakayama Farm is a third-generation farmer with 24 hectares of land located in Utsunomiya

It was not just like a farm land but like a natural art gallery or a museum displayed with bamboos.

I Go to Shizuoka Prefecture

On our way home after one week trip to Kansai area, we stopped by our relative's house in Yaizu city in Shizuoka prefecture.

The pacific ocean was very beautiful. We strayed from the Toumei Expressway into a local road, then enjoyed driving and seeing wonderful ocean view.

Buddhist Statues in Nara Prefecture

Not only temples and shrines but also statues of Buddha in Nara prefecture were stunning.
We met many students at famous temples. I was sure that they could learn lots of art and history of Japan.
Those statues were so great that what they had seen at the temples might last forever in their mind.

Temples and Shrines in Nara

There are many magnificent temples and shrines, some are world heritages the others are national treasures.

I can definitely say that one-week-stay is not enough to see all worth visiting places.

I Go to Asuka Area in Nara Prefecture / Takamatsuzuka Tumulus

I went to Takamatsuzuka Tumulus located in Asuka village of Nara prefecure.

The tomb is thought to have been built at some time between the end of the 7th century and the beginning of the 8th century.

It is said that the tumulus suffered from grave thieves around the Kamakura period; the southern wall of the stone chamber had an opening caused by grave thieves.

However the richly colors of the mural paintings kept almost intact and part of burial goods escaped grave robbing were discovered.

But, at the museum to which we went displayed only a replica of the the mural paintings.

The real mural paintings were stored in a conservation facility to avoid further deterioration.
