The parking lot of Lake Louise was full when we visited, so we didn't see the lake.
It gets very crowded, especially in the summer and on weekends.
If you do go, it's a good idea to book the park-and-ride shuttle in advance.
We visited Herbert Lake, instead.
It is located north of Lake Louise on the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The lake and snow-capped mountain views on this loop are stunning.
