The best way of crossing the Dubai river or Dubai Creek is by boat.
The citzens there call it abra; the view from the abra is very nice and fare is cheap, only 1 dirham about quarter US dollar with every couple of minutes departures.
You can see mosques, buildings and river side scenery.
